Sea Base 2011

Dear fellow Scouters, Great news!!  We have been accepted and given dates to go to the Bahamas and sail a tall ship.    This is a BSA High adventure trip. This will be quite an adventure as a working trip.  We will fly in to Marsh Harbor, Bahamas, board the 60’ Catamaran and set sail around the Abaco Sea.  We will be given a Captain, and a first mate, we will be the crew.  There we will learn how to sail a ship, fish, snorkel, and most of all work together as a team and have fun.  There is room for 20 people 11 have to be boys.  This is a first come first serve basis.   I will be asking for a $100 non-refundable deposit Due by April 6.   Then I will ask that each person pay $100 per month.  I will have the complete cost in August.  The cost for the trip depends on cost of airfare at the time of booking and how much we earn at our fundraisers.  My estimates are from $700 to $1000 per person.  All participants must get a Passport ($100 cost not included in estimate) this takes awhile so this needs to start now.  We will leave early on June 25, and return late on July 1.  I will have more details along with a supply list way before we go! People weighing 300 pounds or over are not allowed to

participate in Sea Base High Adventure. Participants will be sent home at their own expense.
